So, im now in Chiapas Mexico, we spent pretty much the entire day (5am to 11pm) getting to Palenque, Chiapas.. From what ive seen so far, it is very beautiful.. We took a taxi, then a bus, then a plane, then a taxi, then a bus and then finally another taxi to get us there!! It was a long day indeed..

The plane trip was actually pretty cool, i got seat 1A and spent the whole time looking out the window looking at the mountains and rivers which looked very very surreal, nothing ive ever seen before definately.. When we arrived in Chiapas we suddenly realised that we were in a lot of trouble, the humidity in the air was pretty much unbearable.. The temperature was about 30 but we have all been sweating so so much and when i post some photos from this part of the trip, you lucky people will get to see my sweaty tshirts! Lucky. Im very much enjoying the coolness of this little internet room as i write this actually.. Internet access is $1.50 an hour.. hehe.. so so cheap, everywhere i go everything is cheap!

So we finally made it to the place we are staying at, which is a cool little hotel (i guess youd call it a hotel) at about 11pm.. We arrived to the sound of bongo drums and fire twirling.. Although everyone there were tourists it was still a very cool atmosphere.. We got our rooms ($10 a night) and then had a few drinks and then went to bed... my room didnt have walls by the way, all there was was netting and a roof... yay.. The great outdoors..

Today was very very very cool... well hot, but it was awesome... We went to see the Palenque ruins which is one of the main things that i wanted to do in Chiapas.. They were crazy.. About 30 or 40 huge pyramids that are scattered around an area about the size of a football field.. They were quite surreal to see, much like the plane trip.. and once again nothing like ive ever seen before..

Basically we spent the whole day today walking around the ruins in the sun and 100% humidity.. And we sweated like pigs.. I managed not to get sunburned which im pretty happy with aswell.. I cant wait to post the photos of the ruins.. they are very awesome.

Ok thats all for today.. gonna go have a siesta like Yvonne and Felix are having at the moment (hmmm) and then were probably going to have a few $1.50 caronas!! Sorry, i know i keep going on about the price of stuff but its quite cool (i really need to come up with some more synonyms for cool as well)..
