My passion for photography developed while using my mum’s old film cameras at school; learning to use different speed films, and adjusting the shutter and aperture settings, as well as the techniques needed for printing onto different papers, fascinated me. This has changed with digital cameras, but the basics remain, and I was always more about getting it right in the field rather than fixing it in post.

I love to explore new places, from travelling the world to simply taking a different route home from work. In many ways a good photograph can be almost as good as being there, and that is something I strive to achieve in my photography.

In an ideal world my photography would develop to the point that it is not just something I like to do, but simply what I do; to take it beyond a hobby and turn it into a living.
