My Scholarship entry - WWII PNG
Papua New Guinea | Tuesday, November 4, 2014 | 5 photos
As long as I can remember I have enjoyed taking photos in an effort to preserve a moment and share it with others. However it wasn't until I started to scuba dive, and was amazed by the alien beauty to be found underwater, that I really wanted to learn how to be a photographer. I fell in love with diving and the ocean and wanted to be able to share its magnificence with others.
I have been working full time in logistics and studying part time for an engineering degree for the last three years but I found that I was not enjoying life or learning things that I was passionate about. So, by the time you are judging this submission, I will have finished packing up my life to start travelling, for an indefinite period, in an effort to find my true place and calling in life.
I have had no formal training in photography but have spent many an hour happily researching everything from the mechanics of a camera to the art of taking a good photo. Receiving this scholarship would be an immense boon and allow me to further my skills in a profession that I am truly passionate about and help me to share the beauty of the world with others.
