You live once live, so do what you love - and that's how I've always lived.
I'm a web designer, and to me, it's a hobby & passion of mine. It's something I wouldn't be doing if I didn't love it.
Whilst using stock photography for a client, I thought to myself "surely I could take better pictures than this." So I went and bought a cheap SLR and starting snapping. Little did I know I was about to discover another passion in life!
A few years and a few camera's later I'm fairly obsessed. I never leave the house without my camera. I bought three books by Scott Kelby and taught myself all the theory I needed to get the most out of my pictures. My photos have been picked up on Flickr and used in brochures, books and websites and I've won some minor awards.
I take pictures because I love it. I love capturing moments in a still. I love spontaneous, candid street photography. I love capturing landscapes at the most beautiful times of day and year. I love documenting the extraordinary day-to-day lives of insects and wildlife. I love the technical and theoretical skill involved in taking a good picture. I love vintage camera's and well-made lenses.
I love photography.
