Chelsea Gillum = 25 year old living in Australia; thrives for the best in everything. I see photos as a huge vessel to instigate social change. World Vision produce photos that pull the heart strings of people who may not have seen poverty against faces of innocent children. When disaster strikes, photos remind the world that sometimes mother-nature is not so friendly yet displays the power of the human spirit to presson. Photos captures a moment in life that can last forever, beyond my memory, since that won’t last! A photo triggers the emotions, the smells, the sights and sounds of that exact moment. I have travelled and thrive off the ability to capture something that everyone else seems to miss. I want my life to be about making a difference through my passion of travel and photography. I believe that photos have power to cultivate change. This is partly what drives me to take a better shot. I want to take photos that move people to a point of feeling compassion, anger, love and a feeling of ‘I must help’ so that ordinary people are contributing to extraordinary things like positive social change
