My Scholarship entry - I am Rasta

I am a photographer since the age of six. My work is about people, telling the stories of others as well as sharing my own experiences and pain. I want to use my work to positively affect the lives of women and children and fellow artists. I am creating a residency to allow artists to travel and facilitate children's free art programming. If chosen I know that I would be able to use this opportunity to affect the lives of many other artists and create programming for at risk youth that are lacking strong education systems. Understanding each other and braking down stereotypes is some of the most important work that we as artists can do right now and I have dedicated my life to this task.
