FRANCE | Sunday, 3 May 2009 | Views [423]

done the west coast of cap corsica today, a brilliant coast, praticly no human on it. Few nice little village along the way but between them no house all pure. Learn later (a few day after) that there a law again building on the coast and also that there a group of nationalism that also cause trouble went people try to buil at some place they dont want to, example they just blow the building down to the grown. So people dont built any more !! violent but did work !! saw only one beach with sand all the other one was a kind of broken blue rock, look nice. Took quite a few photo of that coast loved it. On the road, 3 car that was coming facing me, did use there horn and were waving me. Seem like they don't see lot of traveller around on a bike. Was nice. Ended the day trying to find a place to sleep, saw undred of spot during the day but now that im looking for one I see nothing. Finnaly 3 km fro st-florent I found one.im done

bad day

well I add better day, woke up at 7am, raining back to sleep. 9 am seem ok, lot of cloud but im good to go. Got a bit of food at st-florent and went direction oletta. Add a few hard hill here, I thing they been more hard then any other. Not that long but climbing fast. Got down the west coast till I took the road to corte. 12 km on that road I was tired, saw a passage going down near the river, left the bike and took a look down. Sweet place under the tree 5 meter from the river. Got back to the bike and brought it down. But here the bad part of my day, I got stuck in a branch will pedalling and broke my “derailleur” thing in the back to change the speed. Can't repair it dammit. Was near 5 pm so let take care of it in the morning. So here I am near the nice clean river with even a little beach. Humm let try to clean myself in it. Didnt even reach my knee, the cold just of the water was hurting me like hell. Ok then let use the baby sheet again... another month before I can use river for shower.

argg I hate to get up in the morning... pack everything, hide all of it with the bike in the bushes and up on the road with my big thumb in the air. 5-10 minute max first ride. Got down the car, walked 10 meter for a better place to hitch-hike, 30 sec in another car, funny man, corse guy with a strong corse accent and very proud to be corse. 5 km with him and about after second car I saw took me for the last part. Easy to hike here. The last guy after a long talk about quebec brought me directly to a bike shop, were the owner sold me a replace part. Came back the same way 2 car only this time and also went really fast. 1 minute for the first one and again second car after was my last ride.

Once at my bike, after a bit of food, I got nearly out of my mind, he sold me the wrong part.. dam im stupid I didnt see that. Well I been able to fix it on so I can at least use the bike. Got back in bastia (32 km away) and he told me I need to got to another place, so I went, Cyclo 20 in bastia that the plae to go, nice guy. He asked me who sold me that junk and asked me how much it was, said 15 euro, he said well I will give u back all the little piece, that piece worth gold. He manage to fix my problem with the old part. 15 euro of time, not bad, he done a good job and add to fit it fashion way. Got out and told myself let try to get a refound, but I did a few mark on the piece, let try. Gave the guy the bag, he didnt even looked in it and gave me my money back. I so did run away with absolutely no remorse. Bought me a beer with some crisp and went back the same 32 km. 8 pm reach back my little bushes. Started that day at 9am. Reset the camp open my beer with some bread, cheese, sausage and my crisp for dinner. In that bad luck, add more bad luck but also add some good at the end and I did meet a few nice people so conclusion of this episode is im happy with it even if it did cost me a bit and I didnt make my km to corte I wanted.
