My name is Cheska Appave and I was born on the Island of Mauritius. I currently live in Calgary, Alberta. I have spent my entire life travelling and it wasn't until a few years ago that I found the passion for photography. Coming from a city that is fairly young every place I visited offered a new and exciting chance for a spectacular photograph.
I have studied motion picture and have a great passion for moving photograph as well but I appreciate a still photograph and hold it in higher regard. One captures a single moment in time with a photograph unlike the constant movement of the motion pictures.
When I see a chance to take a photo I strive to make sure it's a worthwhile shot because if one is too take the time to capture that moment in time one must be prepared to make it count.
I would love to be able to not only make a living from photography but to share a little bit of the world from my eyes. Offering the world your photography offers not only a photo or a moment in time but also a little piece of yourself for someone else to experience in their own unique way. I believe that being able to share something that intimate with many people is a worthwhile way to live.
