My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited
Australia | Thursday, July 4, 2013 | 5 photos
Photography is a pure and honest art form. When the shutter is released a moment is captured in time. If my photography can augment that moment; provoking thought, emotion, inspiring memory then I have achieved my aim. I aim to capture moments and details we see but do not consciously focus on.
My passion for photography and adventure grow stronger with each image I capture, each place I travel to. I feel both alive and calm behind the lens. Working in the Pilbara gifted me the ability to travel and work afar. Though passionate about my wife, home Tasmania, family, coffee and company, I confess I love the cameras too!
I am at a precipice, ready to leap and become a photographer. To do this I need a mentor. Someone to help me explore, discover, capture and share moments with the world around us; who too revels in adventures, cultures, colours, natural wonders. I yearn to make new inspired compositions, to learn from a master, to see my photography differently. In my heart I feel it is time to create, so contributing to and preserving the art of photography for humanity. I want to live what I love.
Help me help you Jason. Guide me along the path to the mountains of inspiration.
