Thousands of magpie geese congregate to feed on Mamukala Wetlands, Kakadu National Park. This ecosystem is extremely important as a transit place for migratory birds  before they head further north or south depending on the season. Due to the abundance of bird found here, this place has became one of the most visited tourist area. as a result, tourist infrastructure such as viewing platform, accessible roads and washroom facilities are built and disturbing this crucial environment
