City Centre: the bustling, seedy, metropolitan heart of Nairobi. And the place where I opted to spend my afternoon. I was hoping to find the Kenyan National Museum, home to the earliest human remains, and perhaps pass the day there.
After a riding the bus alone for the first time – I traveled with a friend who disembarked before me – I got off in front of the Kenyan National Archives building. I wasn’t able to find the museum, but I enjoyed walking around the city and just getting a feel for the urban center. It was a bit overwhelming, even though I reside in a more urban area. I very much enjoyed just being able to soak in the atmosphere.
