The Aftermath - Sri Lanka

The subject matter was inspired by a call from a friend living in Sri Lanka. After the Tsunami he called and said "you have to see this for yourself, if only you were here with your camera". And so 48 hours later I was, travelling the country and meeting locals, all of whom wanted to share their stories.
At present I am working as a freelance director/cinematographer on corporate films in Indonesia.
No matter the job I love the power of the camera to be a conduit between myself and the world, opening up doors to stories that every single person has inside them. I dream of a future as a documentary filmmaker, my camera and I and the world sitting before me, its stories waiting to be told. This scholarship would be the first step towards this dram for me.
