In my grubby little paw, I have one UK ancestry visa. Thank you, Jesus (and the British High Commission). The whole process took a mere four workng days, much to my suprise and delight. My birth certificate issue turned out to not be a hindrance. I'm very pleased that my struggle with Home Affairs did not influence the outcome. When am I leaving, I hear you ask. Well, you and a lot of facebook friends. I don't know the answer to that yet. My plan is to apply for a Schengen visa to visit my beloved friends in Switzerland and Austria for a few weeks before starting a whole new journey and season in the UK.
