Cecile and Cecilie is the true tale of two girls looking for a room.
The more we visited rooms the more we became fascinated with filming our quest. All the houses we entered were like theatre stages, with drama, props and characters. The city became an intricate labyrinth of signs, a structure of interconnected possibilities. We started to see life as fiction and fiction as life - there, right outside our doors lay so many stories, people with hopes regrets and mysteries. Reality morphed from a fixed/control projection to an ever changing flow of enigmas and potential.

We are a good team.
Cecilie is not afraid of anyone. She is very good at interpreting people. She took me places I never thought I could go, strange, dark houses, weird bars, but thanks to her, we met many many fascinating, alienated New Yorkers.
As for me, I am the filmmaker, I compose the images in terms of light, lines and pattern.
People trust us, we are two girls, our interviews are always honest and peculiar.

What want to do in Brazil is similar. A film that illustrates man's eternal quest for a structure that will make him free: must it take the form of a carnival, a city, a job or a film.
