Hello world!
I am Cayly Warner, a proudly South African twenty something year old…My tribe, the Warner family, are an eccentric bunch… We range from straight laced to artsy farts. I’m somewhere in between… I’ve got my dad’s love of words, research and philosophy mixed together with my mom’s kind nature and exuberant flamboyance, my grandfather’s love for filming, my Ouma’s (grandmother’s) baking abilities, all seasoned together with a bit of my own Caylyness… This ‘Caylyness’ includes copious (yet discerning) coffee drinking, loud laughter, culture enthusiast, writer, traveler, public speaker, believer, sister, aunt…. and overcomer.
I am at my most happy when combining my love of people and their stories via film, words or dramatic arts. In my downtime I love spending time together with my friends and family over a delicious meal whilst a fire crackles in the background or sitting in a sunlit cafe, sipping an umpteenth cup of double shot cappuccino whilst pinning away on Pinterest (blood type B’s need to visualize).
After a full time position as a Dramatic Arts Teacher at a prestigious High School, it became clearer than ever to me that my most authentic expression lay outside of the confines of a full time teaching position. Make no mistake I love the Dramatic Arts, and I dearly loved and will miss the girls, but I have places to go, people to meet and stories to tell!
