My Scholarship entry - Across the world's highest motorable roads

My true passion in life is discovery. It was for the shake of discovery that 4 years ago I started a PhD, and it is for the same reason that I strive to travel as much as I can. Photography represents a way to express what I experienced on the place. I look for pics that take the viewer "there". I'm active on critique groups, where I post pictures for extensive feedback and I review the work of other users. Critique has been crucial to understand different styles, and to become more aware of strengths and weaknesses of an image. The scholarship opportunity showed up in a key period: I will end the PhD in june, and I will have to change life anyway. Why not transforming a big passion in something more serious? The scholarship will not only represent an invaluable opportunity to experience and learn professional photography on the field from a renowned expert, but it would also be a great test to understand if being a pro photographer can be a possible career opportunity. Images can be inspiring: I want to learn to transmit the same enthusiasm I have for discovery to other people, and teach them to be open, curious and fascinated by the great diversity this world has to offer.
