I'm proudly from Muscat, Oman and moved to the US when I was 2. I don't remember anything of my birthplace, and I would love to have the opportunity to explore, and learn about Oman while participating in something I love: photography. One of my first experiences with photography was borrowing my dad's camera while on vacation in Colorado, USA when I was 10. I often fell behind on the hikes and constantly asked my parents to stop the car in order for me to take the perfect shot. Every night at the hotel, we would upload the hundreds of pictures, go through each of them, stopping at the ones we liked and reliving the best parts of the day. That trip started my love of photography. I later took a film photography class at my school and developed a better understanding and appreciation of setting up the proper shot and capturing the true essence of a moment; I feel that with the proper guidence, I'll be able to further my skills and create a confidence in myself as a photographer. My family can attest to my adoration of photography. When I was growing up I told my parents that one day I would have one of my pictures as the cover of a National Geographic. It's a dream I'll always have.
