This photograph was taken on one of our off site days. We packed up our clinic and went to a surrounding orphanage where we provided medical attention and passed out goodies and played games with the children. This little boy was almost lost in the sea of children trying to be first in line to collect a treat from one of our Haitian translators.

Behind the guest house where we stay at the orphanage is a long pathway that leads to a place called the prayer gardens. On this walk you pass large groups of people praying in circles or on their knees. There is one lonely house that you pass where all the children outside are nude and hungry. Members from our group brought these children clothes and power bars the next day.

This photograph is part of the kitchen that is used to cook the orphans meals. Usually it's full of women preparing food, but i happen to catch it with just this beam of light coming in after lunch time.
