My Scholarship entry - Generations of India

India | Monday, January 14, 2013 | 5 photos

I am a traveler, and it is part of this nature to feel the need to document each and every step of my journey.
My passion for photography started with my first Polaroid at the age of 7, and it was slowly accompanied by the passion of writing travel journals... these two arts just perfectly combine in me, as far as my ambition goes at least, because I know I miss the right techniques needed to become a professional in the industry of photojournalism. Winning this scholarship would provide me with the right set of techniques and practicality that I need to get the real me out.
I am truly passionate about this, you chose me and you won't regret it!

For this entry I chose portraits I took while volunteering in India in 2011. They are all people coming from the poorest families in the villages of Koppal, Karnataka, yet it stroke me the happiness of living they had. I never met most welcoming and amazing people as them.
