I'm Carolina, but you may call me Carol. I'm currently a teacher of English as a Foreign Language in Porto Alegre, Brazil. I went to school for Arts and Photography, but don't work as an artist or photographer except for the occasional favor for friends and their projects. I mostly shoot for pleasure.
Once, in Canada, I got a fortune cookie that read 'You will step on the soil of many countries'. I found it funny at the time because not only was that exactly what I was doing then - on the soil of a foreign country to me - but also because that was what I had been doing so far and what I've always wanted to do. Travel is an essential aspect in becoming a better person in this one shot at life we've got, and I feel I don't have to grow roots somewhere in order to belong there. I have lived in 9 different cities in 3 different countries (Porto Alegre being my 9th) and there are still many other places to go.
Greenland is such an alien landscape to me and to many. It will be such fantastic stimulus to my foreign gaze. I'm really looking forward to all this learning and giving my best at the amazing images I could capture there, bringing them out to the world.
