Everyday pots are still made by hand on a potter’s wheel. This man lives and works in a little village outside Bundi throwing pots all day long.

Everyday pots are still made by hand on a potter’s wheel. This man lives and works in a little village outside Bundi throwing pots all day long.

This was the first time that I saw men cooking sauces over an open fire. The silver stick was a tube and it seemed like he was tasting the sauce through it.

The people work at backbreaking jobs, carrying heavy loads on their heads, with a smile on their face. Women in their saris work alongside the men and do their share of the heavy work. It is the spirit of these people that makes me want to return to India and gives me faith that the country is developing in the right direction.
