Turtle Release Research in North Queensland

AUSTRALIA | Monday, 20 July 2015 | Views [294] | Comments [1] | Scholarship Entry

I should be chosen for this opportunity because I have the skills and experience to get the most out of this expedition. I have worked with researchers at James Cook University in North Queensland to produce videos showcasing their research and field teaching. I'm not afraid of the jungle and I hope to get into filming documentaries in the near future. With the guidance and experience from this trip I would be able to take my filmmaking skills to the next level. I'm interested in the human experience and the different perspectives of others. This would be a game-changer for me. I've got a degree in multimedia journalism but it doesn't match real life experience and mentoring. I learn well from people. I'm good with people of different backgrounds. Coming from a multicultural family myself, I find it very easy to relate to different cultures. I'm half Australian and half Papua New Guinean. I feel I have a huge potential to learn and develop and to evolve into a professional documentarian.
