My name is Carlos and I am a young documentary photographer. I consider myself to be specially interested in the human psychology of my subjects.
Wether I am writing or photographing; it's the complexity of life and how humans react to it what atracts me. Perfectly executed empty pictures mean nothing to me. That is why I try to break the surface and explore the inside. To do that, you need to be sincere in what you're doing. When you're trusted, subjects rely on you as a professional storyteller to tell their story to others; to portray them, to make them eternal.
When I travel, I try to avoid the clichés and focus on the people, interacting. Interacting is the most important part of my photographic procces. Because, after all, a city is not about the buildings, but about the stories of the people who live in it. That is what I'm after.
Why sumbit this serie to the competition? Because it is sincere. It tells an story. It tells my story.
