FIRST, LET ME INTRODUCE MYSELF...
When I was 8 years old my best friend and I made a list of our dreams along with a trip around the world that included every country on Earth (we were sure our allowance's savings would do)
She asked what my biggest dream was, and I answered:
"I want to swim with a whale and take pictures of it."
For a long time people thought it was a funny answer.
I graduated in advertising but photography found it's way in my life.
Since I can remember nature has been the one thing that really moves my senses. I believe that photography has the power to bring a new reality to people as we gain awareness of the extreme beauty of the world we live in. The combination of these two set in my hearth the profession I wanted to follow.
Suddenly this scholarship seems like an unique opportunity to experience a journey that may be one step further on my career and childhood dream. Given the chance to listen, share and learn how to capture the world trough my camera's eyes on a magnificent trip to Bhutan.
LUDIC WHITE
This was a trip to the northeast of Brazil to Barreirinhas, a small town located in the entry gate to a National Park called 'Parque Nacional dos Lençóis Maranhenses'.
It is composed of 155.000 hectares of white sand dunes with over 40 meters high and freshwater natural pools that vary in shape and tonalities of green and deep blue.
The photos of this trip, tells the story of this tiny rustic village and the locals who live here amidst a barely unexplored paradise.
