Vietnam on a whim!

Vietnam Diaries

VIETNAM | Sunday, 2 August 2015 | Views [342] | Scholarship Entry

June 10th, 2015, I wake up with a message from my friend Andy. It reads "Hey, when do you leave for Turkey? Look up flights to Vietnam" In a half awaken slumber I reply "I leave next Saturday, are you serious?". His reply "YES!" After three hours, we had a flight booked for the next day, I had my vietnamese visa expedited, and was on a mission to get passport photos. He was on a month long trip through Southeast Asia with his sister. So I think they needed some more Estrogen to break up the bro-sis duo. I obviously have an incurable case of wanderlust if you can't tell... But this was by far the most spontaneous travel moment I have experienced. Andy and I both have created minds, so we filmed and vlogged the trip while his sister, Jackie, blogged the journey. This week in Vietnam on a whim was a moment in my travel diary that I will never forget. But it sparked something for me, a love for making videos and sharing these experiences with friends, family, and the world. So I'll save the " I deserve this" spew, and get real. I want to be a part of this scholarship program to further my knowledge in traveling and film, because creating these videos is my way creative outlet to help inspire everyone to get outside of your comfort zone, grab a map ( or better yet, dont!) and JUST GO!
