Hello, I hope this letter is finding you well! My name is Courtney, and I am reaching out in response for the World Nomads Scholarship. Upon hearing about the contest on your website, I read about the opportunity and recognized myself in the scholarship description. I am currently a Photography major at Antonelli Institute and will be graduating in May 2016. However I attended and then graduated from Penn State University in 2014, receiving my B.A. in Classics and Ancient Mediterranean studies with minors in History and International Studies. This scholarship is an invaluable opportunity for the career I am working towards because, not only would I love the luxury of traveling for photography's sake, but I would also gain tremendous fulfillment from the chance to study and learn from other cultures. Many people fear leaving their comfort zone and do not feel inspired to embrace different cultures -- however I embrace the fear of the unknown, and find myself hungry for cultures I do not understand and places that I have never been. I someday hope to become a freelance photographer for National Geographic and continue my education through photography, life experience, and research.
