My Photo scholarship 2011 entry
Namibia | Tuesday, November 8, 2011 | 5 photos
My photos can never truly capture the total beauty and bliss I feel while watching nature at its finest. I am an animal lover, a nature lover, and my camera goes with me everywhere, if only to capture the moments that I will look at later, and remember the feeling.
I am a 34 year old Israeli, living in Tel Aviv - I have a big career in software, I manage projects all over the world, multiple people and tasks, and have a very hectic life. I'm single, hip, funny, a control freak mixed with a cynical view of life, but with something very raw and passionate living inside me since I was a little girl - the love for nature and animals.
Photography was a hobby I picked up a few years ago, and have been told that no matter the camera I use, I capture rare moments, people, angles - and I know I have much more to learn - I actually haven't even started. I feel like if I have the passion for nature, for the wild, and for relaying that same wonderful feeling I feel when I'm there to others around the world, what better way to do it than study with the best.
I have recently (and finally!) decided to "have a taste" of my dream, and traveled for the first time to Africa - to the Harnas Wildlife Conservation in Namibia, working with wild animals and falling in love with the simplicity of life and significance of our hard work of giving. I have traveled a bit in Namibia and in SA southern cape, but only to realize that Africa has awoken something very primal and basic inside me. I found myself in Africa again, and I know the chance of this experience can help me leverage my passions into something almost as beautiful as the real thing, to share with my loved ones and the world.
Please consider me as a candidate, This is my dream, my life, my thirst for this wonderful opportunity
