My name is Kailee Merlo. I have recently graduated from High School where I was a passionate and dedicated photography student. I have spent the last 4 years learning the most I could about film photography and digital editing. I love it, it’s my passion and I want it to be my life.

From a young age I have always wanted to travel, photograph and experience different cultures and landscapes throughout our wonderful world. I love a challenge, a new experience. I love the thrill I get from it, identical to the moment when your shot turns out exactly how you anticipated, that feeling of pure joy and success. I pursuit that feeling in my everyday life and extend it to my photography. I strive to succeed in all I do and I want to learn as much as I can from this experience to further my opportunities in my future. I go confidently in the direction of my dreams.

The opportunity to learn, travel and be mentored by Jason would expand my mind to new ways of seeing and photographing. I would love to dedicate my life to such creation and challenges.

I believe in living the life I have always imagined and this is it, a stepping stone to my future. I do believe I am the right person for this scholarship. It’s been my dream forever, it’s my passion and I want it to be my life.
