Looking cool on the Cape of Good Hope. Its REALLY windy around here.
Hi Danielle,you won't remember me, but I was, once upon a time, a PhD student of your dad's. I've been living in Durban, SA for almost 5 years now and am going through my own little memory lane looking at the photos you've posted in your blog. I've just seen a photo of your dad "looking cool on the Cape of Good Hope". I have a pic of me in this exact same spot in virtually the exact same pose, with my hair blowing uncontrollably in the exact same wind. Fantastic!It's good to see you and your family looking so happy while experiencing a place and a life so very much different from what you were used to in Canada. Did I even notice a hint of a smile on Phillipe's face in one of the pics?! This truly is a remarkable country. Thanks for sharing your experiences and photos!Robin
