My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

India | Friday, May 31, 2013 | 5 photos

Not until the year 2009 I could afford to buy a camera. It led to the discovery that I had a latent passion for photography but financial restrictions didn't allow me to pursue it as a profession. However, there was a deep sense of discontentment and restlessness. So, the following year, after a long deliberation, research and detailed planning took 45 days off from my work to travel and photograph. By the end of this journey, realized that this is what I wanted to do most and this was what drove me.
Yet again there was a financial and personal setback, which threw things off track. Winning a few small photography competitions and getting a couple of work featured in international magazines/website though made me even more determined. From last year I’ve began to seriously consider photography as an alternate career but most importantly joined a part time photography school with the intention to study.
An opportunity to learn under someone, who considers photography not only as a career but has immense love and understanding of it, is my dream.
