My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Curious, independent, social, adventurous and perseverant are adjectives that come to my mind when trying to describe myself in short words. Being the youngest of four siblings, a challenge is something I’ve always been familiar with. As I sit and rummage amongst boxes of old photographs of my childhood, and reminisce over my family camping trips, birthdays or just those ordinary days where an image means more than words, I’m grateful. I know where my passion for photography truly came about. Throughout these years my love for candid photography has only evolved and has brought me to many new places, but most importantly, it has allowed me to create very special bonds with people from all walks of life. Every time I pick up my camera I look forward to what will come next because it's always something I never expect. The camera always comes along with me, with the intention of always trying to explore a new angle. I truly am the person I want to be when I am behind that camera. I see this as an opportunity where I can use the knowledge I already have, expand from it and develop my passion into something even bigger.
