A day on an Australian Cattle Station
On a hot, dry summers day, the stockmen of "Yarralee" had their work cut out when a mob of Angus heifers didnt want to play the game.
My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I have had an obsession with "light" since I was a small child and what is photography if it is not an obsession with light? I recall being 6 years old, riding my pony at my fathers side, through the Australian bush, captivated by the play of light through early morning mist, reflecting off leaves, trapped in dew drops. From this moment I have had the desire to capture the world as I see it and share it with others. I recieved my first camera at 8 years old, for a Christmas present, and I have been behind one ever since. I am now 28, I am married, I have a daughter, I have studied a "sensible" proffession, worked a "normal" job, but I want, need, so much more from life! I have a deep desire to travel the world, expand my horizons, meet new poeple, explore the unexplored and capture these moments to share with others. To inspire them, to enlighten them, to bring the wonders of the world to those who cannot see them otherwise. Two days ago, my life changed, my contract at my "normal" job expired. People say things happen for a reason and when one door closes, another door opens. I want that door to lead to a career in what I am passionate about, photography.
