Six weeks to go before I leave and I think I'm pretty well prepared. This week I meet with the travel medicine people to find out about any needed shots etc. I have my guest house booked in Cambodia - Boddhi Tree Guesthouse if you want to check it out http://www.boddhitree.com/boddhitree_del.php. I've been going a little crazy thinking of all the details but I think I'm on top of things. Bought 5 pairs of flip flops yesterday (thanks to Mary Lynn) in a rainbow of colors and am practicing wearing them around the house (sore in the toe). I've read a few things about Cambodia - mostly about the Khmer Rouge period but would like to read more. Got my skype skills up to date - just need to subscribe for Skype to mobile. But probably you don't want to hear about all these details - I know I don't really want to think about them all. However, I guess that is the state of my mind right now! I've read the needs assessment of the psychology program situation at AFESIP currently and gotten a few great manuals about working with sex trafficking survivors from a friend of a friend who works at an NGO. I'll read those on the plane. Well, I'm just trying this out for now as I'm new to blogging. See if I can get the hang of it before I go.
