My name is Connor, I just turned 18 years old and I am an inspired adventurer by one of my favorite photographer Chris Burkard. I am no just any 18 year old who grew up in the suburbs of New York but I grew up with a Brain Tumor. After having my brain tumor removed at 10 years old, I still have to recover a bit. I was weak and I couldn't do much outdoor activities. Once I recovered a little bit, the Make a wish foundation let me go to Hawaii where I found my passion for Photography. A couple months later I bought my own camera, little did I know how to really use the thing. But I got use to it, and now I am impressed with my own skill, from where I started and where I am now. If it was not for my horrific brain tumor, I would think my passion for photography wouldn't have been found. This is where I stand to stay that bad things happen for good reasons, and sometimes you just have to wait for them. I see thing differently then other people, and when I tell someone that they don't really understand but what I mean is I cherish every moment more then other people because I've been through a hard point in my life at a young age, it made me not take anything for granted and to live in the moment. Winning this trip would be a lifetime dream, and if not I hope to someday travel down there and all around the world in pursuit of meeting new people and seeing all new places, with my camera right by my side to capture every moment.
