Hello, my name is Caillum Smith and I am a 21 year old, avid, semi-professional, outdoor lifestyle photographer from BC, Canada. I was first given a camera almost 4 years ago as a "go back to university present" from my parents however I have yet to see the insides of such an institution again as my passion for photography and visual storytelling leaves me no choice but to follow the light in search of that moment where all factors work harmoniously to weave that perfect tapestry of light. I believe I am a prospective candidate because my passion and love for the outdoors leaves me no choice but to snap photos until it becomes a profession, my willingness to go out and beyond (when conditions permit) to find an alternative composition and my ample experience in the outdoors (rock climber, biker of all sorts, trail runner, 2 years backpacking the Andes, Scotland and Iceland). The main purpose of my photography is to make people feel guilty for not enjoying the outdoor, natural world around us and to inspire everyone, including myself, to get out there and LOVE IT!
