After 22 hours of travel we finally arrived in Japan. Last night we felt very Lost in Translation as we took a 2+ hour bus ride from Narita to the Grand Prince Hotel Akasaka. Crazy traffic. We went out last night and got some sushi and miso soup. Very good although there were a few things we didn't manage to eat. We did all of this without knowing how much anything was going to cost as we hadn't figured out the exchange rate yet. Wow, it's expensive here. Oh well, the race has generously given us plenty of money for food so we shouldn't have to worry.
This morning we went out for a walk around so that I could see the options for running etc... We are very close to a palace, the national stadium and the big embassies. I will go back to the national stadium this afternoon to try and get my rubber legs moving a little bit.
