About bushboy

Whoa...I'm completely unqualified to write this section; I'm still trying to figure myself out.  But for dry, yeastless facts, here goes:

I'm 31 years of age, still trying to find out what I want to be when I grow up.  I don't have a career as such, I've just sort of careened through life doing anything that comes my way including forestry, professional hunting, an ultimately abortive stint at university, any number of labouring jobs, farming, machine operation, mining...

All of which were simply means unto the end of travel.  Yes, that common malady to which all here succumb, the drive to be where I am currently not.

I've travelled extensively in the Antipodes, my home, never staying very long in one place, as well as Europe, the Middle East and Caucasus and Asia.  Mainly by bicycle.

I travel this way mainly because it is cheap but also because it gives others the impression that I'm achieving something spectacular when I'm actually just trying to avoid having to get a job.

My next round of travel will start at the end of this year, starting in Bali and travelling by bicycle through SE Asia, India, China, Mongolia, Russia the across to Alaska.  From there the ultimate goal is Argentina.

Oh, and I'm single ;)
