have arrived in our hotel in sapa, vietnam after travelling on the overnight train from hanoi. someone commented that it felt a bit like the hogwarts express, but without chocolate frogs (although the lindt 70% I brought along tasted pretty good).
yesterday in luang prabang we went to the Kouang Si Waterfall. Absolutely stunning - one of the best areas of natual beauty I have ever been to in the world. A few of us swam in the pool beneath the main fall (maybe 30-40 metres tall?) and swam around and onto the rock ledge behind the falls. Wow!
