Coastal Trail at Muir beach, which extends to the Coyote Ridge Trail, was once used as a ranch and military road.

Muir Beach at sunset in the middle of winter. Surrounded by local's homes on the northwest side, this area has become a restoration project for National Park Service and Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy.

The Pelican Inn at Muir Beach is a 16th century style inn, capturing the spirit of the English countryside.
