My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Growing up I have always been amazed by wonders of the world. My dream has been to capture the unique in everyday life, and travel to explore different cultures and environments. Even as a child, that thrill of travel and capturing images was exhilarating, and still lives within me to this day.
Fueled by adventure, I strive to capture images that will strike emotions, and take viewers on an adventures they could never image doing. Whether it be street scenes from home, or international travels, I photograph the unique in the everyday, and work to share that sense of wonder I grew up with.
In 2011, I spent the year documenting my life through a lens, and the camera never left my side for 365 days through travel and exploration. It was this year I caught a glimpse of what I wanted to do with my life when I had my first international trip to the UAE - travel photography.
When I came across the scholarship with Jason Edwards I thought it was too good to be true. Not only is it a chance to learn and grow as a photographer, but a once in a life time opportunity to gain real world experience into travel photography as one of my greatest passions and lifestyle choices.
