67 y/o registered nurse making my first international trip. Going to Ecuador and Peru for 7 weeks of adventure, including the Inca Trail Trek to Machu Picchu in Peru (backpacking for 4 days in the high Andes). No resorts for me! Will be staying with host families, in hostels, in the jungle, remote coastal areas, and tent camping in the Andes. All of this is a reward for reinventing my life and career after my job layoff in 2008. I became a full-time student at age 60 and graduated as a registered nurse when I was 65. Sweet success was obtained like the game of Survivor: outwit, outsmart, and outplay 'em. Look out, because here I come!
