Childhood Dreams

As a college senior, I constantly contemplated what I was going to do with my life. So I decided to explore what other people’s dreams were and whether or not they had realized them. All from my local college community, it was fun talking to people about such a universal topic.

Currently I am interning for the summer at a documentary production company in New York City. I just graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in multimedia journalism and am hoping to pursue a career in documentary filmmaking.

As a documentary filmmaker, and just a naturally curious person, I love researching and finding stories or concepts and then retelling them in a way that others will want to learn from, relate to and appreciate. I am particularly interested in foreign places and cultures, and actually wrote an article for class once about Australian Aborigines, so the trip and topic is definitely of interest to me. I would love the opportunity to work closely with and learn from a professional in the field because I believe that is the best way for me to learn, aside from getting out and doing my own projects!
