The Great Barrier Reef

I am a terrible swimmer. I always am scrambling in the water for something to hold on to - always moving. Even when I'm researching a new travel destination, I always feel a rush of seeing everything and scrambling around. I did a road trip of the East Coast of Australia this spring - and you can't go to Cairns, without going to the Great Barrier Reef.
That's where I learned the beauty of being still. I took a day trip on the Ocean Freedom to the Great Barrier Reef, and decided to not only snorkel - but to scuba dive.
I will always treasure this experience. I would slowly move through the water , and the life would move around me. Each minute, a new colour, a new life would pass me by. The sea life that really exists in that part of the world is extraordinary.
That was the beauty of it. Strapped to a life jacket, I could just float still in the water - and watch what amazing things our world has produced. I felt like the luckiest girl in the world - and all I had to do was to relax, and be still.
