My Scholarship entry - A public affair.

It was early last year my wife bought me a Canon 1100D for my birthday. At the time I didn't know it, but it was the start of my love for photography. From the moment I took my first few snaps of a flower, and some clouds, I realised I had found a way to express myself artistically, and show others an insight into the way I see and love the world. As a person, I've always seen so much beauty on this planet, whether it be the smallest insects or the tallest mountains. Having my camera in my hands has given me the ability to capture and share this, and it's something I absolutely love!
Even though I'm a novice, and with the help of youtube tutorials, I'm always exploring new techniques and experimenting with different styles in an effort to further my creativity. It makes each time I head out for a shoot a learning experience. To win this scholarship, step into the shoes of a National Geographic Society journalist and be mentored by Jason himself, offers myself and my photography the greatest chance of improvement, and with these skills to build upon, hopefully create an opening to a future career in the world of wildlife and geographical photojournalism.
