Until I was 30 years old I did not travel the world in anything but a military capacity. To me this is a
very sad thing; there is so much beauty in this world that everyone one should be able to see. To this end I hope to use my photography to show the beauty of the world along with the darker side that it contains, because everything is precious and beautiful. I am now fast approaching 32 with 2 beautiful mixed race daughters, I have seen more of the world in the last 2 years than my entire life and I hope that some of my photos at least can convince someone that it is never too late to travel; experience as much of the world and as many cultures as you can.
I spent a lot of time in poor areas not able to travel, through the military in Iraq and Afghanistan and
Egypt, despite seeing all the terrible things that I did, I managed to discover the ability in myself to see at least a little beauty; a spark of happiness if you will even in complete desolation. This journal will show a little of ancient beauty that can pop up out of a barren desert.
