Thank you for the opportunity to apply for the World Nomads scholarship.

My name is Brett Star and I am a photographer from Brisbane Australia. I enjoy music, surfing, traveling and most importantly photography. I have traveled extensively and love to capture and document my adventures. I am especially passionate about photographing people from different cultures which drives and inspires me. I attended the Brisbane College of Photography and Art three years ago to learn more technique and develop skills to complement my craft. I have recently been to Jakarta, and Sumatra in Indonesia to obtain a portfolio. Please see samples of my work attached.

I would like to be considered for the Oman assignment to be involved in bringing images to people around the world, broaden reader's perspective on life and inspire them to care. I know I can become a great photographer with the right guidance and mentors. I am ready to work hard in the field, travel anywhere to observe life through the lens. Please consider me as a candidate as I am ready for this amazing challenge and can contribute to creating images which can make a difference.
