I grew very close to the boys, they are so young 10-11 years old and living away from home for most of the year, seeing us more than their own parents. Being depended on in that way meant I had to grow up quickly.

It's not all fun and games, sometimes it is frustrating having to think about 21 other people constantly. But shining through those frustrations are all the good times, so you just have to keep a smile on your face.

Fading out of their lives to be replaced by someone else is sad for me and something they have to deal with on a regular basis as boarders, matrons come and go every year. I will miss them as these kids have affected my life profoundly but great memories remain and always will.
