My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited
Philippines | Thursday, January 10, 2013 | 5 photos
My father wrote with words, but I intend to write with light. I make photographs to inspire people and affirm Desiderata's "with all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a wonderful world."
I am a local governance specialist by profession, but I am a photographer by heart. I have studied public administration and international development, but there's nothing compared to the thousand words painted by one photograph. It can make or break a person. It can make or unmake a nation. That's the power of a thousand words - or a photograph.
I must be chosen because I hunger for colors and light. I am like a clay in a potter's hand, and once done, I can be a vase for flowers, a pot for ornamental plants, or a pot of gold. I am teachable and I have the right attitude to share with others the appropriate knowledge and skills I can learn from this travel photography scholarship. After all, my intent is not to amass all the good things with me but to spread the good news to everyone through my photographs.
