Azores: Where the streets have no name

PORTUGAL | Friday, 19 April 2013 | Views [400]

It´s not accidentally, that Bush had chose Azorian island, to be base for meeting with EU forces in 2003. when they were deciding a destiny about Iraque. This didn´t finish good for Iraque (about this in another ocasion), but it is very intesting fact that Azores were choosen because they are in the middle- crossroad for Europe and USA, charm that Europe has and "modern" way, that is coming from West.

And it is not just legend, that in 70´s tapes from Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and The Beatles were coming first to walkmans of Azorians..directly from base for USA soldiers, which had been in Terciera island.

Probbably since then it is so obvious relationship between Azorians and Americans..

Fredship full of understanding and sympathy from Azoreans to wealty goodfather USA..Exactly, to this island American´s are like rich goodfather who comes- you smile and then you get a candy.

Well, America also giving it back, by sending them "deportados", which is portuguese word for deported people. Often used to mark people who committed a crime in States and been sent on this island, just because their family imigrated in USA. And like this, guys who are 99% Americans, are forced to find new dream in Azores. Land with they don´t share nothing..

Maybe after reading this, comes to you that this land is more then just a beatuful landscapes..or something in the middle..
