Hi, my name is Bryan Trottier and I come From the north-west part of Quebec, Canada, called Abitibi. I've been interested in photography since a long time, but it's a few month ago that I began experimenting with this art. I begun to take pictures of the land where I live. To my eyes, it's a wonderful place that need to be discovered and open to the world. This scholarship would be a good opportunity for myself to learn from a professional photographer but also, to have an open window on Abitibi-temiscamingue, for the people to discover his great land. The Abitibi his known as the land of 100,000 lakes and rivers. The first photo represents the Rapide-Danseur (Rapids-Dancer) river. In the 20th century, this river was used for the drive of wood until the year 1960. Today, it's mostly used for fishing and tourists attraction. The second photo represents the Lac Duparquet with a sunset. You can find at this lake, an ecological research base that studies the environment near the lake, because only near this lake, his found a kind of thuyas that doesn't grow in the rest of the province of Quebec. In the third photo, you can see a wasp eating a raspberry. Life comes back in summer with a lot of variety in the flora and faun, giving wonderful scene like this one. When Fall his knoking on the door, Changes comes in nature, like in the fourth photo. What was an elegant, tall violet flower, has fade to her sleeping cycle to pass trought the winter. In the last photo, the nature gave me the opportunity to capture this wondeful scene, where the rain storm was beginning to fall and the sun was giving his last rays before being hide by the heavy clouds.
Thanks
